Welcome to your Typewriter. Only you, the Commanding Officers and the Monsters will see what you post here. However everyone will have access to it postgame. Feel free to share your thoughts and point of view on the game. Monsters will also ask you questions on occasion, feel free to answer them. There are no guidelines to what you can post in your confessional, though occasionally you will be required to post private individual challenge submissions here. Otherwise, the virtual sky is the limit! Take your gun, take a deep breath, and when you are ready, get ready to face the danger and mystery of the Village.
You have two other threads you have access to:
{1} Briefcase. This is where you hold item(s) you are in possession of, such as the gun.
{2} Discard. This is where you will cast votes, and play any items you possess.
If you feel you wish to make your own confessional threads in addition to the ones provided to you, be our guest.
To get you started, here are a few questions:
{1} Have you ever played Resident Evil: Village before? If not, do you know the basic story or have you played other Resident Evil games before?
{2} Do you have a strategy for how you will play Survivor: Village?
{3} How do you feel about the gun twist so far? Is there any aspect of this game you are initially nervous about?

1. Nope never played RE, didn't research the flavor. Oh well if that puts people off. Joe immediately PMed me the moment I logged into the boards with a flavor filled pill that I have no desire to decipher. Yes, this is a negative from me, but if I stress about being perfect its going to tank my enjoyment.
2. Try to find some people and as the guide suggests, explicitly say I like them so I don't get voted out first. I'll probably pull my gun too, as I need to get through one tribal.
3. I'm probably gonna burn my gun immediately. We'll see. The things I am nervous about I do not wish to communicate with spectators right now.

I've got an update on my strategy and that is to lie so I can produce enough "content" in PMs to hopefully pass this part of the game. Unfortunately I cannot be truthful about my interests or things I'm doing because I'm open about that on the discord and I think doing those things will ID me. So I've settled into pretending to be a returning player from the before times I guess? I told one person about coming back with the email Shea sent, then told someone else I haven't played in awhile (which is technically true). Then I'm trying to invent some more interesting things about myself so that I can meet the content in PMs players expect. So I guess I now need to keep the lies straight in here.
Here's a running list...
Returning Survivor player from a long time ago...came back to MS via the email. (told Sheva/Alex/Angela this)
I gave myself a bachelors in history. I did a research project on enlisted soldiers in the rev war. I might need to do some google fu to back this up. (told Alex this)
Gave myself an obsession with Pokemon. I know enough to pass here, so this is a half-truth. Lied about owning Violet in addition to Scarlett. Lied about being into the anime, card games too. (told Jessica this)
I was an internet freedom purist until while working at a retail job I lied about using facebook and managed the facebook page for a bit. The facebook thing is sort of true, as I made an account when I was managing for a non-profit. (told Sheva this)
Also said I was making spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, doubtful this lie matters. (told Sheva this)

Angela says this is her first game and that she found our community searching around for it. I have no idea if players pretend to be newbies anymore. Angela says how she wants to win the challenge and not do TC for awhile. Admirable goals to be sure, but I know people in this community like to throw challenges to go to tribal early. I've been a victim of that enough times. If she's a real newbie, telling her this (as well as hinting the same from the newbie guide) might be good for me? If she's a fake newbie, that could be bad for me, as I assume the fake newbie would think I'm trying to manipulate her. Which, in part, I would be, I'd be trying to, ya know, do something for her gamewise so that she does not want to vote me out.
I wish I could hydra or brainstorm with someone. When it too early or too late to tell people that I want to work with them? Didn't consider that in your newbie guide, huh??? Checkmate libs.

I have hit that first moment where someone let slip that there are whispers about me already. Gah, once your name is out there you're on the chopping block. I feel like I've been doing everything right this game and somehow I still find myself on the chopping block. How am I so incapable of even being average at this game? I don't get it. You would think even if everyone was making random decisions that once in awhile I would luck into a middle of the road position but that never happens. It is a statistical wonder.

Well the nice thing about me doing the challenge is that unless Jessica made up her drawings, I didn't give anyone on my tribe a chance to throw the challenge. Though maybe we were too slow in not locking in my guesses right away. On the flip side I've put myself out there now. Oh well. After experiencing in my last game people intentionally throwing the first challenge I guess this is the lesser evil.
